This problem isn't racing anywhere: the core barrier is the same one researchers faced ten or more years ago. That stability is information. It usually means the difficulty is structural — baked into physics, economics, or institutions — rather than a passing circumstance. Static problems reward patient, well-aimed work, and they are honest: they won't dissolve on their own while you look away. Note that a problem can feel more urgent than ever and still be static — urgency rising is not the same as the barrier getting worse.
