A workable solution is available, and human behavior stands between it and impact. People won't use it, keep using it, or use it correctly — because of habit, distrust, inconvenience, or incentives that pull the other way. These problems belong as much to psychology and design as to engineering, and improving the technology further usually changes nothing.
