breakthrough:systems-redesign
Some problems can't be solved by making any one component better, because the trouble is the shape of the whole system. A linear take-make-dispose economy that no better recycling plant can fix, a centralized grid where the answer is distributed generation, a supply chain whose incentives guarantee waste. These problems demand rethinking the architecture itself — changing how the pieces relate, not polishing the pieces.
